A NightMare Lamp ....

Thought I would share the latest lamp I have done for a friend who needed a unique gift for his friends Birthday .... He wanted a Nightmare before Christmas themed lamp.
So here is may take on it and I must admit I like the way it turned out..
Hope you guys agree too.

First I took an old lamp from a junk shop, cleaned and painted it with gesso.
I wanted to create an old looking tree effect using heavy duty texture paste.
I then painted it black with acrylic paint for a base coat and when dried used Buff it Copper and gold gilding wax to high light the bark effect ..

For the lamp shade I cut out some silhouettes of characters from A Nightmare Before Christmas and used my Xyron machine to then stick then to the inside of the lampshade.
Happy Crafting, will share again soon ...
